About the role
Join the eApproval Program at the NSW Ministry of Health and play an key role in supporting and expanding a digital platform used to manage briefing notes, correspondence and business approvals across NSW Health.
We're looking for a Technical Support Officer who can combine technical know-how with great customer service. You might already work in application support or an IT service desk, or you may come from a broader technology support, SaaS support, systems administration or customer-facing technical role.

About eApproval
eApproval is an approvals workflow system used across NSW Health to manage briefing notes and correspondence.
Our vision is to connect NSW Health through a seamless way to draft, share, approve and track critical and non-critical business decisions.
It's an exciting time to join the program as eApproval continues its state-wide expansion across NSW Health services, including Shared Services, Local Health Districts, Specialty Health Networks and Pillars.
What you will be doing
Providing first and second-level application support and helping users resolve technical issues.
Investigating incidents, troubleshooting problems and managing service requests in line with agreed service levels.
Supporting user accounts, permissions and identity and access management processes.
Working with service management tools and maintaining accurate system and configuration records.
Creating practical knowledge articles, user guides and support documentation that make it easier for people to help themselves.
Delivering training and guidance to help users feel confident using eApproval.
Communicating clearly with users and stakeholders about system changes, maintenance, incidents and outages.
Supporting upgrades, deployments, maintenance activities when required.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas and improvements as the service continues to grow.
About you
You don't need to have worked with eApproval before. We're interested in people who bring a combination of technical curiosity, problem-solving ability and a strong customer focus.
You may be a great fit if you have experience in areas such as application support, IT service desks, SaaS or software support, technical customer support, systems administration or IT operations.
We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues and work through solutions logically.
Experience supporting applications, systems or technology users.
An ability to prioritise incidents and requests in a busy environment.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with people with different levels of technical knowledge.
A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with users and stakeholders.
Familiarity with service desk or incident management platforms, knowledge bases, Microsoft Office or similar business technology tools.
Experience with ITSM practices,
identity and access management, EDRMS platforms, configuration management or technical documentation is valuable, but we encourage you to apply even if you haven't worked across every area listed.
