Position Information
Cherrybrook Technology High School (CTHS) has an enrolment of **** students, with 74% coming from non-English speaking backgrounds. The school has a highly motivated team of teaching, administrative and support staff, students, and parents, all committed to achieving strong academic outcomes, underpinned by a technologically creative, supportive environment. Cherrybrook Technology High School values and encourages a broad range of academic, cultural, and sporting pursuits. Extensive extracurricular activities are available for students to excel in sports and cultural activities, and opportunities toparticipatein leadership initiatives are also offered. Specific Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria:



Expertise in leading evidence-based practices that provide individual support for student attendance, engagement and complex wellbeing needs that improve student outcomes. Demonstrated ability in leading teams in the implementation and evaluation of whole school student engagement and recognition initiatives, including girls' leadership opportunities and targeted student programs. Highly developed leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to mentor early career teachers, build staff capabilities and establish effective partnerships that enhance student support. Expertise in working collaboratively as a dynamic member of the executive team, and the whole school staff to implement and lead school initiatives aligned with the School Plan.
General Selection Criteria
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents




Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
