Mudgee-Gulgong District Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Acute Mental Health - Child & Adolescent unit in Mudgee, NSW. This is an 11-week contract role running from 17 August to 30 October ****, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a specialised mental health setting with young people. Specialised acute mental health nursing focused on child and adolescent care

Preferred Requirements
Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing,



with a solid understanding of acute mental health presentations
Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting
Robust assessment and observation skills, particularly in recognising changes in mental state and risk
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to care
Preferred Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in mental health nursing
Current First Aid and CPR certification
