About The Role
The Nurse Unit Manager you will play a pivotal role within Arcare; having the responsibility for providing leadership and oversight of the care team within a specific unit.
You will deliver the highest quality of clinical care along with compassion to every Arcare Resident while maintaining a supportive & positive work setting for the care team.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs
Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff
Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences
Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols
Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians,
providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate
Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively
What We're Looking For
Current AHPRA Registration
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse
Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC
Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence
Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation
Capability to effectively lead and manage a team
