Position Information
We are seeking an enthusiastic Careers Coordinator to lead our careers and pathways program during Terms 1 and 2, ****. This crucial role supports students to make informed decisions about their future education, training and employment opportunities
In this part-time position, the Careers Coordinator provides career development through:
Career counselling and pathway planning for senior students;
Presentation of careers information in individual and group format;
Organisation of careers events and information sessions;
Publication and promotion of career options to students, parents and staff;
Participation in external industry and internal networks to enable students to gain a clearer understanding career options and avenues;
Coordination of Work Experience, SWL and VET programs;
Management of VTAC information and tertiary application support.
The successful candidate will have:
VIT registration;
Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum four-year undergraduate degree), with a Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice, preferable;




Current knowledge of courses available at the various tertiary instructions and selection requirements;
Current knowledge of prospects and conditions of employment in different careers areas;
Current knowledge of curriculum, educational trends, schooling practices and policy developments as they relate to the Careers Education sphere;
excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
a robust understanding of senior secondary and post-school pathways; and
a passion for helping young people make informed decisions about their futures.
