Transport Administrator (Safety & Compliance)
NORTHSIX is recruiting on behalf of our client, a business operating in the transport and logistics industry, with a focus on dangerous goods transport
This role would suit someone with experience in a transport environment who has completed studies in WHS, OH&S; or a related discipline, and is looking for a rare opportunity to put that knowledge into practice
You will be trained and supported to apply your studies to real documentation, compliance and safety processes specific to dangerous goods, with genuine progression on offer as the business continues to grow
The role
Process transport invoices and run sheets accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes
Process PODs, SPAs and weighbridge documentation, ensuring records are complete, accurate and compliant with dangerous goods requirements
Assist with maintaining safety and compliance documentation, including incident reports, inspection records and documentation relating to dangerous goods handling
Maintain accurate records across transport, compliance and operational systems, ensuring information is current and readily accessible
Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouses, subcontractors and internal teams regarding documentation, operational updates and compliance requirements
Follow up missing, incomplete or incorrect documentation and elevate issues where required
Assist with reporting, filing and administration tasks that support transport operations and compliance monitoring
Adhere to established processes and procedures, with a strong focus on dangerous goods safety and compliance

About you
Experience within a transport or logistics environment
Studies completed in WHS, OH&S; or a related discipline
Genuine interest in applying that knowledge in an operational, dangerous goods setting
Solid attention to detail and the ability to process documentation accurately
Good computer skills, including experience using business systems, spreadsheets and email
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent time management and work ethic
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
