About the role
Ingham Institute is seeking an experienced Governance & Integrity Manager to lead the development and oversight of governance, integrity and compliance frameworks that support protected, ethical and high-quality research across the Institute and its partner organisations.
This influential role will work closely with researchers, executives and external stakeholders to ensure research activities meet legislative, regulatory and ethical requirements while enabling efficient research delivery.
Spanning clinical trials, translational research, digital health, artificial intelligence and population health, this is a unique opportunity to drive best-practice governance, strengthen research integrity and help shape the future of research excellence at the Institute.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, law, research, clinical trials, governance, ethics, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in health and medical research governance within health services, universities and/or medical research institute environments.
Strong knowledge of clinical trial governance, including sponsor, investigator, institution and site responsibilities.




Sound understanding of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Good Clinical Practice, and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
Proven ability to interpret and apply complex legislation, policies, standards, contracts and regulatory requirements.
Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, procedures, compliance programs and risk management initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex governance, integrity, compliance or risk matters and provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, policies, briefs and committee papers.
Strong judgement, professionalism and commitment to confidentiality, ethical conduct and procedural fairness.
Highly organised, detail-oriented and solutions-focused, with a collaborative approach and proven ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
Clinical trial governance, regulatory affairs or Good Clinical Practice certification.
Experience supporting investigator-initiated and commercially sponsored clinical trials.
Experience in research misconduct or breach assessment processes.
Knowledge of privacy, data governance, artificial intelligence, digital health and emerging research technologies.
Experience supporting multi-institutional and multicentre research collaborations.
