About the Role
Due to its rapid and ongoing growth, the Company now has an exciting opportunity for an sandblaster/ surface preparation reporting to the Team Leader - Paint, this role will be responsible for:
Operate abrasive blasting equipment, including pressure pots, blast cabinets, hoses and nozzles.
Prepare surfaces by removing rust, scale, paint, coatings and contaminants.
Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
Select and load appropriate blasting media according to job specifications
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment.
Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.




Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings and surface preparation specifications.
Measure document blasting profiles and surface cleanliness standards.
Assist with painting and coating preparation activities where required.
Maintain clean and organised work areas.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in an industrial paint shop setting
Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Must have a can-do attitude
Have a strong safety mindset and attitude
The proven ability to work within a team environment as the organisational needs dictate
A current Forklift and Drivers Licence is preferred but not essential
