We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism school, supporting pupils with a range of strengths and needs. The Role:
Provide classroom support to pupils with Autism on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, personalised learning activities.
Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.
Encourage independence and the development of life skills.
Use positive behaviour support strategies to help pupils feel safe and successful.
Build trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and personal growth.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support individual learning plans.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children, young people, or adults with Autism
A patient, calm, and empathetic approach.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil.
Resilience, creativity,



and a positive attitude towards supporting young people with additional needs.
A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.
