This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week based in the office, as well as regular travel across Western Sydney to engage with providers,partnersand stakeholders.
About the role
At WentWest, we work with local communities,providersand partners to support a healthier, more connected Western Sydney. We are seeking aManager, Mental Health Programs and Partnershipsto lead operational delivery across key mental health and suicide prevention programs, including Primary Mental Health Care and the Medicare Mental Health Referral Spoke.
Working through key leads and direct reports, you will build team capability, support performance and accountability, and enable reliable, consumer-focused, culturallysafeand high-quality service delivery. You will help translate regional mental health and suicide prevention priorities into practical operations, quality improvement, reporting and partnerships that improve access,experiencesand outcomes for people across Western Sydney.
Lead operational delivery of mental health and suicide prevention programs that supportWentWest'sregional priorities and community impact.
Oversee workflows, service activity, issue resolution, escalation,reportingand performance monitoring.
Support budget monitoring, contract administration, fundingrequirementsand provider performance oversight.




Lead,supportand develop direct reports and program teams, modellingWentWest'svalues and contributing to a protected,constructiveand service-focused culture.
Drive quality improvement, risk management, compliance, referral pathway improvement andeReferraloptimisation.
Build trusted relationships with providers, partners,communityand stakeholders across Western Sydney to strengthen integrated, responsive local pathways.
Coordinate funder, departmental and governance reporting, including performance reviews and annual work planning.
About you
You are a collaborative, values-led leader who is motivated by improving mental health outcomes for Western Sydney communities. You bring sound judgement, strong operationaldisciplineand theability to work constructively with teams, providers,fundersand partners to turn regional priorities into practical, high-quality service delivery.
A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
Around 10 years' experience managing programs or services in mental health, primary care, community health, suicidepreventionor related service delivery environments.
Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading through direct reports, building teamcapabilityand supporting performance.
Strong program operations experience, including service activity, workflows, reporting, qualityimprovementand performance monitoring.




Experienceinbuilding productive relationships with providers, health services, commissioning teams, government agencies, communitypartnersand other stakeholders.
The ability to interpret service data, prepare clear reports and recommendations, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Experience supporting budgets, contracts, funding requirements, providerperformanceor related governance processes.
Desirable experience with PHN commissioning frameworks, consumer and lived experience engagement, digital health oreReferralsystems, funder reporting cycles, or the Western Sydney health and community service landscape.

This is a 2-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for continuation subject to funding and organisational requirements.
