The Company
Our client is a highly respected Australian technology solutions provider delivering consulting, engineering, and project services to some of Australia's most recognised enterprise organisations. Partnering with large-scale retail and commercial customers, they specialise in helping organisations modernise, secure, and optimise their technology environments through innovative cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security solutions.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong engineer or consultant who wants to transition into a Solutions Consultant position. Working across presales, consulting, and project delivery, you'll partner with customers to understand business challenges, design fit-for-purpose solutions, and provide technical leadership throughout the engagement lifecycle.
The role is approximately:
40% Consulting
40% Project Delivery
Responsibilities




Conduct customer discovery workshops and gather technical and business requirements.
Design and recommend cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and modern workplace solutions.
Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), technical proposals, and solution documentation.
Present technical solutions to stakeholders ranging from engineers through to executive leadership teams.
Act as a trusted technical advisor across customer environments.
Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, solution architecture activities, and technical workshops.
Deliver enterprise technology projects and provide technical oversight throughout implementation.
Mentor engineers and contribute to technical best practice across the broader team.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' technical experience within Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Modern Workplace, or Managed Services environments.
Expert-level capability in at least one of the following:
Microsoft Azure
Microsoft 365
Identity & Access Management
Server & Storage Infrastructure
End User Computing
Highly Desirable
Previous consulting or professional services experience.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions.
Exposure to networking, cybersecurity, cloud, or data centre technologies.
Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent certifications.
