Major Projects team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Officer to assist in the delivery and management of a diverse portfolio of Council projects.

About the role
Reporting to Senior Project Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of council projects. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while assisting to proactively manage risks and stakeholder expectations.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar related area.
2– 3 years post-graduate experience in the area of project coordination or management experience in the planning and delivery of capital works in the public and/or private sectors.
An understanding of project management concepts, together with proven competencies in design stage management, tender and contract administration, construction / project coordination and scheduling.
Proven satisfactory level of interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution.




Commitment, experience and knowledge in improving the environmentalperformance of projects
Current Class C Driver's License.
Previous Construction/Landscape/Civil Engineering and/or local government project management experience is desirable
