12-month Federal Government contract + 12-month extension option

A major Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the future state of its identity and access management capabilities. Working within a Cyber Security and Identity function, you will help uplift identity proofing, authentication, authorisation, and identity lifecycle management across essential government services. This large team is nationally distributed with a flat structure and a supporting culture with team members accountable and empowered to operate autonomously but within a close-knit team.
Multiple identity authentication, authorization uplift projects exist within CIAM and WIAM with Okta, Ping Identity, SSO, Saviynt AI-based IAM leading the charge.
Government experience is not mandatory if you have worked within large-scale enterprise and have a minimum AGSVA Baseline as NV1 will need to be obtained after commencing.
The Role
Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will lead a broad range of business analysis activities and translate complex business problems into practical, production-ready solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading business process analysis, mapping, redesign and continuous improvement activities.
Eliciting, analysing and documenting business,
functional and non-functional requirements.
Translating policy, legislative and regulatory requirements into clear business and technology requirements.
Developing process diagrams, journey maps, personas and other visual communication materials.
Facilitating workshops, presentations, demonstrations and showcases with business and technical stakeholders.
Collaborating with service designers, architects, developers, engineers, testers and change practitioners.
Informing the future state of identity proofing, authentication, authorisation and access management.
Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships across multiple business areas.
Balancing competing and urgent priorities while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.
Supporting new ways of working, including the use of AI-enabled tools to accelerate the delivery of technology solutions.
About You
A minimum of four years' experience as a technical ICT Business Analyst - preference in cyber security with experience in IAM, IDAM, SSO etc
Solid experience in business process analysis, process mapping, requirements elicitation and requirements engineering.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple business stakeholders and competing priorities.
The ability to build productive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams, projects, and business areas.
Previous experience working within government or large enterprise
A high degree of independence, sound judgement and the ability to operate under broad direction.
