Today, much of their work comes from repeat clients, with projects delivered for organisations including Housing Trust, Renewal SA and Anglicare, as well as private developers and homeowners.Delivering turnkey homes and developments with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and client experience, ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering exclusively with Urban Concept to appoint an experienced Estimator to take ownership of the estimating function.The RoleAs an Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate quantity take-offs, building complete estimates, reviewing plans and quotes, and supporting procurement and assisting the construction team with cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience with Buildxact is highly regarded.Your responsibilities will include:Producing accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, structural and civil drawings, ensuring full scope coveragePreparing complete,



competitive cost estimates in Buildxact (or equivalent estimating software)Issuing RFQs and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure complete scope coverage and competitive market pricingProcuring materials and services, issuing Purchase Orders and maintaining accurate procurement recordsCollaborating with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and design teams to align estimates with construction methodologies and project programmesSupporting the construction team throughout project delivery by assisting with cost control, variations and tracking actual costs against estimatesThe Like MindYou will have experience estimating residential construction projects and enjoy working in a smaller business where collaboration, accountability and teamwork are valued.You will bring:Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in residential construction (custom homes preferred).
Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural and civil drawings, including site works and cut/fill requirementsProficiency in Buildxact highly advantageous, or similar estimating packages such as Cubit, CostX or Excel-based systemsSound understanding of site works, cut/fill calculations, retaining walls, and spoil management.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across both site and office teamsWhy Join Urban Concept?
