Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a standalone role that suits an experienced payroll professional who enjoys autonomy and wants to run the function their way, with support available across the wider finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:Managing end-to-end payroll for a workforce, covering both weekly and monthly runsInterpret and apply multiple enterprise agreements across several statesEnsure compliance with payroll legislation, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and leave entitlementsComplete month-end payroll reporting,



reconciliations and journalsManage end-of-year processing and reconciliations across multiple jurisdictionsMaintain accurate payroll records and prepare reporting for finance and managementAct as the key point of contact for payroll queries, resolving issues promptly and professionallyIdentify and drive improvements to payroll processes, controls and systemsTo be considered, you are an experienced payroll qualified with 8–9 years' experience who has run end-to-end payroll independently and is confident owning the function from start to finish.
You bring strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, enterprise agreement interpretation and Australian payroll compliance, and you're comfortable managing multiple pay cycles for a large, varied workforce.
Organised, accurate and calm under deadline pressure, you have the communication skills to handle queries across all levels of the business — and while you're happy working autonomously, you value being part of a supportive team that genuinely invests in its people.
