Due to unprecedented demand and continued growth across our education portfolio, Educlean is expanding our commercial and estimating capability.We are seeking an experienced Pricing Estimator / Tender Estimator to join our team, with a specific focus on school and education cleaning contracts.The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, providing flexibility as our tender and new-business pipeline continues to grow, with a genuine pathway to a permanent full time position for the right person.This is a key commercial role within Educlean.
You will be responsible for reviewing cleaning scopes, tender documentation, floor plans, site information and labour requirements to develop accurate, competitive and commercially sustainable pricing models.You will work closely with our Managing Director, operations team and business development team across new school tenders, existing client re-tenders, contract renewals and major education-sector opportunities.We are looking for someone who understands that school cleaning is a highly labour-driven service and that effective estimating requires considerably more than simply applying a rate per square metre.Our preference is for the successful candidate to be based in South East Queensland.
However, experienced candidates located interstate are encouraged to apply.Where interstate travel is required for site inspections, tender meetings or other business requirements, reasonable travel and accommodation costs will be paid by Educlean.Key responsibilitiesPrepare detailed pricing models for school, college and education cleaning contractsReview cleaning specifications, tender documents, floor plans, building schedules and scopes of workDetermine appropriate cleaning hours, productivity rates, staffing levels and shift structuresDevelop detailed labour models for day cleaning, evening cleaning, supervision and site managementCalculate labour costs including award rates, superannuation and applicable employment on-costsAssess cleaning requirements across classrooms, amenities, administration areas, libraries,



specialist learning spaces, sporting facilities and common areasDevelop pricing for term-time cleaning, school holiday cleaning and annual deep-clean programsPrice periodic services including carpet cleaning, hard-floor maintenance, high cleaning, window cleaning and pressure cleaningCalculate equipment, machinery, consumables and mobilisation costsAnalyse incumbent staffing information, wage data and existing service models where providedReview cleaning productivity rates and ensure proposed staffing structures are operationally achievableIdentify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions and commercial risks before tender submissionModel alternative staffing and pricing scenarios to improve competitiveness while protecting service quality and marginPrepare tender pricing schedules and supporting commercial documentationMaintain and continually improve estimating templates, productivity benchmarks and historical pricing informationSupport existing client renewals and re-tendersWork with our operations team following contract award to ensure the proposed model can be successfully mobilised and deliveredAbout youIdeally, you will have previous experience in school cleaning estimating, commercial cleaning estimating, facilities management pricing, contract cleaning or labour-based service tendering.Direct experience pricing school cleaning contracts will be highly regarded.Strong numerical and commercial capabilityAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detailExperience preparing labour-based pricing modelsAn understanding of cleaning productivity rates and labour utilisationThe ability to interpret complex tender specifications and translate them into practical staffing modelsAn understanding of Australian award-based labour costs and employment on-costsStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple tenders and competing submission deadlinesConfidence identifying when a proposed staffing model is operationally unrealistic or commercially unsustainableA practical understanding of contract margins and profitable service deliveryThe ability to work independently and take ownership of pricing projects from initial review through to final submissionExperience estimating cleaning requirements across schools, colleges, universities or other education environmentswould be a significant advantage.About EducleanEduclean is a specialist provider of school cleaning and education facility services.Our focus on the education sector allows us to develop service models specifically around the requirements of schools, students, staff and education communities.We currently work with schools and education organisations across Australia and continue to expand our presence across multiple states and international markets.As Educlean continues to grow, we are investing in the people, systems and commercial capability required to support an increasing pipeline of education-sector opportunities.Why join Educlean?
