Our client is a well-established organisation seeking to appoint an Enterprise Strategic Planning Lead into a newly created position.
This is an exciting opportunity to help build out the organisation's strategic planning and reporting capability from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership to shape long-term direction and drive enterprise-wide performance insights.About the roleThe Enterprise Strategic Planning Lead is a key role responsible for shaping the organisation's long term direction through enterprise planning, strategic reporting and performance insights.
Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning and Analysis, you will lead the ongoing development and improvement of the organisation's strategic planning and reporting frameworks, including its long-term strategic vision, Statement of Corporate Intent and Corporate Plan.
You will partner closely with senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into transparent initiatives, measures and delivery plans, and help embed a consistent organisation-wide planning and business cycle aligned to broader governance and reporting processes.Key responsibilitiesLead the development, implementation, review and continuous improvement of the organisation's strategic planning and reporting frameworkProvide expertise on corporate and business planning, including goal setting, KPI definition and performance monitoring in line with strategic initiativesReview and update the 30 year Strategic Plan and co-ordinate the annual preparation of the Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI) and 5 year Corporate PlanCo-ordinate quarterly SCI performance reporting to the Board and ShareholdersAnalyse market trends, industry dynamics and the competitive landscape to identify risks,
opportunities and growth areasPartner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to shape strategic objectives and prioritiesTranslate strategic goals into actionable initiatives, projects and delivery plans across the organisationSupport the development of business cases and develop and manage the strategic project portfolio, ensuring clear accountability, timelines and resourcingBuild strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted strategic advisor by clearly communicating and presenting planning and insights across the organisationYou will bringA bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or related disciplineProven experience in strategic planning or business strategy within a complex infrastructure-based organisationStrong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse complex business challenges and develop practical, strategic solutionsHighly developed analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong data-driven mindsetDemonstrated project management capability, managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneouslyExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiencesStrong leadership capability and experience working across cross-functional teamsProficiency in strategic planning frameworks, methodologies and toolsExperience analysing industry trends, market dynamics and competitive environmentsAdvanced data analysis and visualisation capabilityAbility to meet mandatory requirements including a National Police Check and pre-employment medicalPlease note - this position is based in Townsville on a full-time basis and will not accommodate FIFO/DIDO options.
