About the Chance:A leading higher education institution is launching a Curriculum Quality and Sustainability (CQS) analytics tool in January ****.
They're seeking a Power BI Specialist to own the delivery from data pipelines and modelling through to dashboards and stakeholder handover.This is a high-impact, autonomous role that sits at the intersection of project delivery and operational support.
You'll work across the full analytics stack and partner with three distinct teams - the CQS project team, the Planning & Analytics BAU team (faculty-facing) and data engineering.Key Responsibilities:Design and build ETL pipelines using Power Query, M language and SQLArchitect data models to support complex, multi-stakeholder reportingCreate intuitive, decision-ready dashboards and reportsTranslate faculty and leadership requirements into technical specificationsTrain and hand over to the BAU team post-launchCoordinate with data engineering on schema,
governance and technical debtMust-Haves:Advanced Power BI capability across data modelling, ETL, and front-end designStrong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing conceptsProven ability to engage confidently with non-technical stakeholdersDelivery track record on analytics or BI projectsAutonomous working style - comfortable balancing competing prioritiesNice-to-Haves:Experience in higher education or student data systemsPL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certificationPython or R for data pre-processingThe Details:Engagement: 12 month contractRate: $900 - $1,200/day +SuperLocation: Sydney, hybrid, 2 - 3 days onsiteStart: ASAPClosing: Monday 10th AugustReady to make an impact?
