Reporting to the Care Manager, this role is ideal for someone who values high-quality care, enjoys supporting others to grow and thrives in a collaborative, resident-focused environment.About the Role:As Clinical Lead, you will be a visible clinical leader who supports best practice across the facility.
Working alongside the Care Manager, you will mentor staff, strengthen clinical governance, coordinate education programs and drive continuous quality improvement to ensure residents receive exceptional care.You will provide hands-on clinical leadership across the organisation by supporting resident care coordination, mentoring staff, promoting evidence-based practice and contributing to accreditation, compliance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant regulatory requirementsOversee care planning, admissions, clinical reviews and responses to changes in residents' conditionsMonitor resident health changes, escalate concerns promptly,
and implement strategies to minimise risks such as falls and infections.Facilitate effective communication processes such as shift handovers, clinical huddles, and team meetings.Promote and implement evidence-based practice to improve resident outcomes.Drive and support continuous improvement, audit readiness and clinical excellenceFoster a values-led, high-performing culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learningLead staff education, onboarding and competency development.Assist with multidisciplinary case conferencing, hospital transfers and clinical decision-making.Contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives.Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of four years' post-registration experience.Robust knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC funding model and contemporary clinical governance principlesAbility to lead change, manage risk and improve outcomesStrong clinical assessment, documentation and care planning skillsDemonstrated commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvementExcellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skillsCurrent Police Check (or ability to obtain).
Demonstrated experience leading clinical teams in residential aged careIPC Lead qualification or willingness to obtainExperience with Leecare, BestMed or similar clinical software.Why Join WDRV?
