As Lumenarc continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Architectural Lighting Specification Consultant to expand our presence within Brisbane's architecture and design community.
About the Role
This is a relationship-driven specification role focused on building strong connections with architects, interior designers, developers, builders and other design professionals.
You will work with clients from the early stages of a project, helping them select and specify lighting solutions that support the architectural vision, technical requirements and project budget.
You will become a trusted lighting consultant by providing product knowledge, design guidance, technical support and ongoing assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
With strong internal estimating, project and technical support, you will be able to focus on developing relationships, identifying specification opportunities and building a high-quality project pipeline.
This role would suit an experienced specification sales professional or someone from an interior design, building design, architectural products or related design background who is ready to build a long-term career in architectural lighting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, builders and design professionals.




Identify and secure current specification opportunities across commercial and residential projects.
Introduce Lumenarc's architectural lighting systems and represented brands to the design community.
Conduct client presentations, product demonstrations, design workshops and, where applicable, CPD sessions.
Review architectural drawings, reflected ceiling plans, lighting schedules and project documentation.
Recommend architectural lighting, linear systems, feature lighting and control solutions to suit project requirements.
Prepare product selections and specification recommendations in collaboration with the internal team.
Provide clients with samples, technical documentation, photometric data and product information.
Track projects from early design and specification through tender, construction and delivery.
Work with consultants, electrical contractors and project teams to support and protect specifications.
Reactivate existing customer relationships while developing new business opportunities.
Manage your sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM records.
Attend client meetings, site visits, networking events and relevant industry functions.
Work closely with the estimating, project and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Skills and Experience
Experience in specification sales, architectural products, lighting, interior design, building design or the construction industry is highly regarded.
A qualification in Interior Design, Interior Decoration, Building Design, Architecture or a related discipline is an advantage.
Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.




A genuine passion for architecture, interiors, lighting and the built environment.
The ability to understand design intent and recommend suitable product solutions.
Strong organisational, time-management and follow-up skills.
Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently.
Confident using CRM systems and managing a project pipeline.
A current Australian Driver Licence.
Previous lighting experience is beneficial but not essential. Comprehensive product and technical training will be provided to the right candidate.
