You will play a key role in supporting clients to achieve greater independence, confidence, and community participation.The Role InvolvesDelivering Guide Dog mobility instruction to clients across VictoriaAssessing client suitability and matching Guide Dogs to client needsAssessing, training,



and developing Guide Dogs to meet high operational and welfare standardsSupporting the preparation and development of dogs through all stages of trainingSupporting client outcomes through ongoing training and follow-up servicesWorking collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environmentContributing to the ongoing development and growth of Guide Dog and Assistance Dog programsAbout YouHold a recognised IGDF qualification as a Guide Dog Mobility InstructorHave experience in the assessment and training of Guide DogsDemonstrate strong observational, handling, and instructional skillsHave a strong commitment to client-centred service deliveryDemonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBe adaptable, team-oriented, and passionate about achieving positive outcomes for clientsHold or be eligible to obtain relevant Australian working rights and clearancesWhilst not essential, experience in delivering Assistance Dog programs or broader Assistance Dog services would be highly regarded.Why Join Guide Dogs Victoria?
