CIMIC Group is a leading global infrastructure, mining, services and investment organisation, operating through a diverse portfolio of market-leading businesses including CPB Contractors, UGL, Thiess, Sedgman, Pacific Partnerships and EIC Activities.Together, our businesses deliver the essential infrastructure, services and projects that support communities and economies across Australia and internationally.About the RoleWe have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our Group Finance Reporting team and support the delivery of high-quality, timely and accurate Group financial reporting, analysis and insights.Supporting Group consolidated reporting processes, you'll partner with operating companies and Group teams to ensure consistent reporting standards, strong financial governance and continuous improvement across reporting, data quality and controls.You'll also contribute to quarterly Board reporting, statutory reporting and reporting to CIMIC's parent company, HOCHTIEF.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare month-end and quarter-end consolidations, including cash flow reporting, analysis and commentaryReview reporting submissions from operating companies and assess key financial drivers and accounting treatmentsSupport quarterly reporting requirements to CIMIC's parent company, HOCHTIEFContribute to quarterly performance reporting for senior management and Board stakeholdersAssist in the preparation of semi-annual IFRS financial statementsSupport external audit processes,
including preparation of accounting papers and supporting documentationContribute to reporting improvements, automation initiatives and data quality enhancements through OneStreamBuild and maintain robust relationships with operating company finance teams to support consistent reporting standards and outcomesPartner with Treasury, Tax and FP&A; Finance teams to support reporting and analysis activitiesAbout YouExperience within Audit, Financial Reporting or Group Finance environmentsStrong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation principles and accounting standardsExperience working within large, complex or multi-entity organisationsTertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related disciplineAbility to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholder groupsComfortable working in a deadline-driven reporting environmentCurious by nature, with an interest in understanding the commercial drivers behind financial performanceWhy Join CIMIC?
