Our client is an international bank with a growing presence in the Australian market, currently building out its compliance function ahead of an anticipated branch expansion in Sydney.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career compliance professional to join at ground level and grow with the business as it scales.
They are also open to new graduates who are eager and willing to learn.
This role is fully in office, based in Sydney CBD.The RoleReporting into the local leadership team and working closely with Head Office, you'll play a hands-on role in shaping the bank's AML/CTF compliance framework in Australia.
Key responsibilities include:Supporting the design and rollout of the AML/CFT program, including transaction monitoring, KYC/EDD processes,
and suspicious matter reportingActing as a liaison point between internal business units and external regulatorsMaintaining accurate compliance records and supporting internal and external audit activityPreparing periodic compliance reporting for Head Office and local regulatorsKeeping across regulatory change, contributing to staff training, and helping embed strong compliance culture as the business grows toward branch statusAbout YouDegree qualified in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; a compliance certification would be well regarded1–2 years' experience in AML, compliance, or financial services regulation, ideally gained within banking preferred.
