We specialise in quality fabrication work across the mining and water sectors and take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality results for our customers.We are looking for a highly skilled and qualified Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Rosewater, with the capability and experience to take on Leading Hand responsibilities within our workshop.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a small, experienced team.The RoleAs a Fabricator/Welder - Leading Hand, you will be responsible for completing high-quality fabrication and welding work while helping coordinate the day-to-day activities of the workshop.Your responsibilities will include:Fabricating and welding a diverse range of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium componentsWelding and fabrication in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including AS**** and AS****Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specificationsOperating a range of fabrication tools, machinery and equipmentCoordinating daily workshop activities and helping allocate jobs and prioritiesProviding guidance and support to other workshop employees and apprenticesMonitoring job progress and ensuring work is completed to the required standard and timeframeCarrying out quality checks and ensuring finished work meets specificationsAssisting with problem-solving and providing practical solutions when issues arisePromoting a safe, clean and productive workshop environmentLeading by example with a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanshipWorking closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to customer requirementsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification3-5+ years' experience as a Fabricator/WelderPrevious experience in a Leading Hand or senior fabrication role would be highly regardedStrong welding and metal fabrication skills across carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminiumThe ability to weld to AS**** and AS****Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsA strong understanding of workshop safety and quality requirementsThe ability to organise workloads, work to deadlines and help coordinate a small teamGood communication and leadership skillsPride in your workmanship and a genuine passion for fabricationWhat We OfferFull-time, ongoing employmentCompetitive salary depending on skills and experienceEarly finish on FridaysA varied range of interesting fabrication projectsThe opportunity to take on a key role within an experienced South Australian businessA supportive, hands-on team environmentStable employment with a company that has been operating for over 60 yearsIf you are an experienced Fabricator/Welder looking for your next chance and have the skills and confidence to step into a Leading Hand role, we would like to hear from you.
