Reporting to the Production Manager – Assembly, you'll be responsible for ensuring quality products are produced and despatched on time, while maintaining strong safety standards and supporting the performance and development of the assembly team.
This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone with solid manufacturing experience and a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Your Day-to-Day:Supervise the assembly team by allocating tasks and supporting daily production activitiesCoordinate with Stores, Engineering, and other production lines to maintain steady production flowEnsure production schedules, lead times, and manufacturing targets are metManage assembly team performance, attendance,
and leaveProvide on the job training and support cross training across required skillsFollow and enforce SOPs for machinery and assembly processesMaintain housekeeping standards across work areasIdentify, report, and address health and safety hazards in line with company proceduresSupport quality checks, fault finding, and corrective actions as requiredDesired Skills and ExperienceWhat You'll Bring to the Role:Leadership certification or equivalent supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical wiring schematicsStrong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and practicesExperience with quality assurance and quality control checksContinuous improvement or LEAN experience is highly desirableStrong communication, problem‐solving, and team leadership skillsWell organised, self‐motivated, and able to work under pressureForklift licence (desirable but not essential)Familiarity with Epicor MES systems is an advantageWhat we can offerEarly finish on Fridays!
