Partnering with highly respected, industry-leading suppliers, we provide reliable, future-focused technical solutions that evolve with our clients' needs.Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified, full-time Electronic Security Technician for an immediate start, ideally someone motivated to stay current with rapidly evolving security technologies.Based in Cairns, you will work alongside another locally based technician, with support from Ruswin's broader technical and operational teams across Queensland.
This is a field-based role operating from a fully maintained service vehicle and requires someone comfortable working independently while remaining connected to a supportive wider team.
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and commissioning of various commercial security systems.Health and safety is a priority at Ruswin.

mentor and support junior techniciansKnowledge of integrated security solutions and remote monitoring technologiesAbility to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications (highly regarded)ExperienceDemonstrated experience installing, servicing, commissioning and programmingAlarms, Access Control and IP CCTV systemsExperience working with enterprise-level security platformsHands‐on experience with structured cabling, coaxial cabling, fibre optics and wireless networking in security environmentsExposure to large-scale commercial and industrial security projects (desirable)Previous experience working in regional or remote locations (desirable)QualificationsTrade qualification — Certificate III in Security Equipment, Electronics or equivalentCurrent Security Provider LicenceOpen Cabling Registration with relevant endorsementsValid Australian Driver's LicenceWhite Card (Construction Induction)Working at Heights certification (desirable)Vendor certifications for major security platforms (e.g. Gallagher, Tecom, Integriti) highly regardedWhat's In It for You?
