The successful candidate that will oversee library operations, resources, systems, staff and programs while working closely with teaching staff and College leaders to ensure library services support curriculum delivery and the learning needs of students.Key responsibilities:Leading the day-to-day operation and development of the College's library servicesManaging library staff, budgets, resources and systemsMaintaining welcoming and engaging library spaces for students and staffOverseeing the selection, purchasing, cataloguing and organization of print and digital resourcesCollaborating with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery and student learningPromoting reading,



literacy, research skills and responsible use of information.Coordinating library programs and events, including Book Week and Book ClubSupporting the Christian ethos and values of the CollegeSelection CriteriaThe successful candidate will have:Current VIT registrationRelevant qualifications in library and information services or a related fieldExperience managing or coordinating a school, educational or community libraryExperience using library-management systems; knowledge of SCIS and Access-it is desirableStrong leadership, organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to work collaboratively, independently and manage competing prioritiesA commitment to literacy, student learning and the Christian ethos of the CollegeSpecial requirements:The successful applicant will be required to complete relevant background, regulatory and skilled reference checks.The Recruitment ProcessApplications will undergo a shortlisting process, with suitable applicants progressing to the interview stage.Positive News Lutheran College is a Child Safe Environment.
