This is a full-time position that is critical to our business operations and customer satisfaction.
As a Heavy Tow Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating specialised heavy towing equipment to recover, transport, and salvage vehicles.

and a commitment to safety standards.Key responsibilitiesOperate heavy tow trucks and associated specialised equipment safely and competently in compliance with all road transport regulations and company safety proceduresAssessing vehicle damage and determining the most appropriate recovery and transportation methodsPerform pre-operation and post-operation inspections and maintenance checks on tow trucks and recovery equipment to ensure reliability and safetySecure vehicles appropriately using chains, straps, and other securing devices to prevent damage during transportNavigate to job sites efficiently and safely, managing time effectively to meet customer expectationsWork collaboratively with dispatch teams, fellow operators, and salvage staff to ensure smooth operationsMaintain a professional appearance and conduct, representing MODERN TOWING & SALVAGE positively at all timesWhat we're looking for:Current Multi - Combination (MC) licence endorsed for towing operationsProven competency in vehicle recoveryStrong knowledge of road transport regulations, load management, and vehicle safety standardsExcellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on recovery equipmentAbility to work independently and make sound judgements in high-pressure situationsAbility to work flexible hours and on-call shifts when required
