Newlands Group is seeking an experienced Civil Draftsperson to join our growing team based in Toowoomba.
Working closely with our engineers, project managers and construction teams, you will play a key role in the preparation of detailed civil construction drawings and documentation across a range of infrastructure projects.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys seeing their designs transition from concept through to construction.
You'll work on diverse projects across roads, subdivisions, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure while being part of a collaborative and experienced team that values practical solutions and quality outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed civil design drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3DDevelop designs and documentation for roads, subdivisions, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure projectsProduce construction drawings, as-constructed drawings and technical documentationAssist with design calculations and quantities where requiredReview design information and identify drafting discrepancies or clashesLiaise with engineers, project managers, surveyors and construction personnel to ensure design intent is accurately reflectedAmend and update drawings throughout the project lifecycleMaintain drafting standards,



drawing registers and project documentationAssist with the preparation of tender and project delivery documentationAbout YouCertificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Design, Drafting or a related disciplineMinimum 3 years' experience in a civil drafting roleAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3DExperience preparing drawings for subdivisions, roads and underground servicesStrong understanding of civil design principles, construction methodology and local authority requirementsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamCurrent driver's licenceWhy Join Newlands?
