Saha Projects is looking for a commercially sharp, detail-focused Estimator to join our team and strengthen our pre-construction capability.About Saha ProjectsSaha Projects is an Inner West-based commercial construction company delivering fitouts, refurbishments, education projects, live-environment upgrades, heritage works, and selected new builds across Sydney.We are a family-owned business with a practical, transparent, and risk-focused approach to construction.
Our projects typically range from $100,000 to $10 million across the education, health, workplace, retail, industrial, and community sectors.We are ISO certified in Quality, Environmental, and WHS Management and are building a capable, collaborative team that cares about delivering excellent outcomes for our clients.The roleAs our Estimator, you will take ownership of the estimating and tendering process from initial review through to tender submission and handover.Your responsibilities will include:Identify opportunities that align with our goals and ambitionsReviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract conditionsPreparing detailed cost plans, estimates and tender submissionsCompleting quantity take-offs and developing trade scopesIdentifying documentation gaps, buildability issues and commercial risksSending subcontractor and supplier enquiriesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliersReviewing and comparing trade quotationsFollowing up subcontractors to achieve sufficient tender coveragePreparing tender clarifications, exclusions, qualifications and value-engineering optionsAssessing preliminaries, programme requirements, staging and site constraintsSupporting early contractor involvement and design-development pricingAttending site inspections, tender briefings and client meetingsMaintaining accurate estimating records,



cost data and subcontractor databasesPresenting tender recommendations to the directorsSupporting the handover of successful tenders to the delivery teamCompleting post-tender reviews and contributing to continuous improvementAbout youYou may be the right fit if you have:Experience estimating commercial fitout, refurbishment or construction projects up to $10MA strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and trade packagesThe ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and services documentationSound knowledge of commercial construction costs and the Sydney subcontractor marketStrong numerical, analytical and attention-to-detail skillsConfidence communicating with subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal teamsThe ability to manage several tenders and deadlines without losing accuracyA practical understanding of project risk, buildability and value engineeringExperience using estimating and take-off softwareRelevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 3 to 5 years in a simialr roleExperience pricing education, healthcare, live-environment, heritage or complex refurbishment projects will be highly regarded.Why join Saha Projects?
