Park Regis North Quay is a 4-star, 40room hotel located on the Brisbane River, within walking distance to the CBD, Southbank, QPAC and Suncorp Stadium.We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Handyman to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis.
This position requires a confident, professional and well-organized person to manage the building's scheduled maintenance, coordinate external trades, complete minor repairs to common property and guest rooms while maintaining a high level of guest service to our hotel guests, conference clients and residents alike.This role works closely with the General Manager to maintain and manage the building on behalf of the Hotel and Body Corporate.
Hours for this role are 5 days a week spread across Mon - Sun.Duties Include but not limited too;Ensure the building is presented to a high standard at all times by maintaining the accommodation rooms, common property and surrounding areas.Identify and undertake maintenance and repairs in an efficient and cost-effective manner for the both the hotel and body corporatePrevent equipment breakdown by maintaining and developing the preventative maintenance schedule and coordinating any corrective maintenance tasks in a timely mannerDay to day management of the buildings' maintenance contracts including managing external contractors and tradesProactively inspect and report on any potential maintenance concerns or issues for plant equipment,



the building and in guest rooms and elevate these where requiredMaintain accurate charging records for works completed both in rooms and for the body corporate along with daily work logsEnsure that for work undertaken the relevant Australian Standards and Regulations are observed and to comply with health and safety requirements relating to all maintenance activitiesTo be successful in this role;Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience maintaining a hotel or building, with a background in general hands-on maintenance workEnjoy working in a hands-on role in a busy, ever-changing environmentUp to date on Fire regulations, OH&S; and other legislation relevant to the role.The ability to think on your feet with a solutions-based approach to problem solvingA proactive and professional approach to communicate with all parties including guests, residents and contractorsSelf-starter who takes initiative and a proactive approach to all areas of the role and can work independentlyIntermediate computer skills to manage emails and complete weekly reportsPark Regis North Quay is offering you;We offer a fast-paced working environment and an opportunity to join one of the region's most dynamic hotel companies.Casual position with prospect to become Full time.Uniforms and onsite parking.Accommodation discounts both in Australia and Overseas.Park Regis North Quay, 293 North Quay Brisbane ******Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted**
