Working within a gas plant setting, you will be involved in the construction of new in‐situ reinforced concrete structures supporting additional above‐ground infrastructure.Reporting to the Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for the installation and fixing of reinforcement steel for a range of reinforced concrete structures, including foundations, footings, plinths, equipment pads, retaining walls, and associated civil infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret reinforcement drawings and specificationsInstall and tie reinforcing steel, mesh, cages, starter bars, dowels and cast‐in itemsPosition reinforcement in accordance with project requirements and tolerancesAssist with pre‐pour inspections and quality assurance activitiesWork closely with formwork carpenters,



concreters and supervisors to achieve project milestonesMaintain a safe and productive work environmentComply with permit‐to‐work systems and site safety proceduresEssential RequirementsDemonstrated experience as a Steel Fixer on civil, industrial, or commercial construction projectsProven experience with in‐situ reinforced concrete constructionAbility to read and interpret reinforcement drawings and schedulesExperience installing reinforcement for foundations, footings, plinths, equipment pads, retaining walls, and structural concrete worksPrevious experience in an operational gas plant, oil & gas facility, mine site, or similar high‐risk industrial environmentWhite CardExperience working under Permit to Work systems in high‐risk industrial environmentsStrong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental complianceFull Australian working rightsDESIRABLECertificate III in Steel Fixing or equivalentExperience working on major resource, mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure projectsCurrent High Risk Work Licences and/or civil plant ticketsWorking at Heights and Confined Space certificationsWHY JOIN ERTECH?
