About the role
Play a key role in keeping people, assets, and facilities safe.
As a Security Officer, you'll deliver frontline security through patrols, monitoring, access control, and incident response—while always providing a qualified and customer-focused presence.
Job Location: Across Canberra CBD
Negative Vetting Level 1 required
Contract: Permanent full time
Shift Pattern:Day and Night shift available
Key responsibilities:
Primary dutiesinclude and not limitedto:
Conduct routine patrols and security checksPerform alarm response and incident managementMaintain control room and site security operationsMonitor CCTV, alarms, and security systemsIdentify and respond to suspicious behaviour or incidentsMaintain accurate surveillance recordsEscort visitors, contractors, and personnelMonitor movement of goods and deliveriesRespond to security breaches and alarmsSupport emergency evacuation and incident coordinationLiaise with emergency services when requiredComplete accurate reports and documentationEnsure compliance with procedures and regulations
About You
Must have Security Licence,Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding)Valid First Aid Certificate(3yearsvalidity) withcurrent CPR Certificate(1 year validity)Experience in GallagherAbility to clear an Australian Police CheckStrong communication and customer service skillsExcellent observation, problem-solving, and reporting abilitiesConfidence using security systems and MS OfficeAbility to multitask and remain calm under pressureExperience with CCTV, alarms,



and access control systems
