Urgent Needed: Support Worker in GladstonePoint Care is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by delivering person-centred, high-quality support aligned with the NDIS.Position SummaryThe Support Worker will provide assistance to clients in accordance with their individual NDIS plans, promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide support to Child Safety ClientsAssist with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and groomingProvide transportation support to appointments and community activitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress notesCommunicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care teamAdhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure client well-beingParticipate in ongoing career development to remain current with NDIS best practicesPlease note that Point Care does not offer visa sponsorship.




Applicants must have full and unrestricted working rights in Australia at the time of application.RequirementsMinimum of a high school certificate or equivalentAt least Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Aged Care, or related field), or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded)Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disability (PLUS with Child Safety)Must be currently located in Australia at the time of applicationMust hold valid work rights and lawful permission to live and work in Australia at the time of application (VISA sponsorship not available)Availability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekendsStrong understanding of the NDIS and its Practice StandardsSound knowledge of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligationsAbility to work with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needsBasic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain)Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital systems
