Due to ongoing programme demands, an opportunity has become available for a Project Controls Support Officer to join a cooperative and high-performing team based in Cairns CBD.As the Project Controls Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the coordination, reporting, financial monitoring, and governance activities across a significant infrastructure programme.
Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams, you will help ensure project information remains accurate, reporting obligations are met, and project risks, actions, and milestones are effectively tracked.Your responsibilitiesMaintain project control data and registersSupport programme reporting and forecasting activitiesMonitor schedules and project performanceProcess accounts payable and contract payment certificatesAssist with governance and document control requirementsProvide reliable programme information to support informed decision-making and successful project deliveryWhat you'll need to succeedPrevious experience in project control, project support, project administration, or programme coordinationStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex project information and reporting requirementsExperience supporting financial monitoring, forecasting, scheduling, governance, or reporting activitiesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and reporting toolsAbility to identify and elevate risks, monitor project actions, and coordinate competing prioritiesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teamsExperience within infrastructure, construction, engineering, or government environments will be highly regardedWhat you'll get in returnAttractive hourly rate of $***** per hour plus superannuationContract through to August **** - Potential 12-month extensionConvenient Cairns CBD locationOpportunity to contribute to high-profile infrastructure projects that have a lasting impact across Far North QueenslandOngoing support from your dedicated Hays consultant throughout the assignment
