It is a well-established 4 bed 2birthing room unit and is embraced and supported by our local community.About YouMidwives will be well supported by a committed and motivated team who promotethe midwifery model of care,



supporting and protecting normal childbirth byworking with women and their whānau in the diverse Ashburton community.2 years post-graduationexperienceAble to practiseautonomously and comfortably in a rural community setting.Have confidence coupled withexcellent communication skills to navigate obstetric and neonatalemergencies, and the ability to cannulate.
(Support is provided for thoseworking towards gaining confidence.)A passion for primarybirthing and supporting women to initiate and continue breastfeedingA commitment to equity andour responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi within maternity servicesThe ability to be adaptable,versatile, solution focused and part of a small cohesive teamRegistered with theMidwifery Council of New Zealand with a current Annual PractisingCertificate (APC)Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated toensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
