This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop your skills within a supportive team workplace.The successful applicant will report to the site supervisor daily,Duties/Tasks areAssessing partitions to determine plaster layoutMeasuring, clearly marking and cutting materials to sizeMaking incisions to access window openings, installing installation, applying adhesive to partitionsLifting, carrying and positioning plasterboard and fastening to walls, battens or ceilings using nails or screws and other apparatus where neededPotentially fitting and installing mouldingsEnsuring all joins and screw are closed using a sealing mixtureSand /Smoothen surfaces/Planes using sandpaper or power sandersHand tools such as Stanley knives, hammers, tape measures, levels, hand trowels, sanding blocks, hand saws and screw drivers are used (being familiar with the above would be advantageous)Ensure fireproofing materials are correctly bonded with plaster and other materials where necessarydetermining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriersmeasuring, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls,



ceilings and battenspreparing corner beads and securing them in positionfixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittingscovering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smoothing them using wet brushes and sandpapermixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thicknessplumbing and straightening corners, angles and wall and ceiling surfacescreating decorative textures in finishing coatsapplying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials.Installing, testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts.EIGHT MILE PLAINS QLD **** (Required) Relocate before starting work (Required)To be considered for this position the successful applicant will need to have the following qualifications or skills:AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field,AndA minimum of 1 year experience in the field.
