This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to develop their career in project management while working on major government and infrastructure projects across Australia.Working closely with our Project Director, you will assist in the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of projects from tender handover through to completion.
The role combines office-based project coordination with regular site visits and contractor management.Key ResponsibilitiesProject CoordinationAssist in the planning and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects.Coordinate project schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and material deliveries.Monitor project progress against programme and budget.Support the management of project costs, variations, and forecasting.Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, and client updates.Site ManagementConduct regular site visits across Australia.Coordinate subcontractors and site activities.Monitor quality, safety,
and project compliance.Assist with resolving on-site issues and coordinating solutions.Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards.Documentation & CompliancePrepare and manage project documentation including:RFIsVariationsSite InstructionsProgress ClaimsProcurement RegistersQA DocumentationMaintain accurate project records and reporting.Assist with project handover documentation.Client & Stakeholder CommunicationLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.Attend project meetings and coordinate follow-up actions.Build strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.Quality, Safety & Continuous ImprovementSupport implementation of project Quality Assurance requirements.Ensure compliance with WHS policies and Australian construction regulations.Assist with project planning, risk management, and process improvements.About YouEssentialAustralian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or full Australian working rights.Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.1–3 years' experience in construction, civil engineering, site supervision, project coordination, or a similar role.Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
