We're seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, sustainment, and ongoing performance of operational technology platforms and communications systems in a safety-critical environment.

You'll work across the system lifecycle-helping deliver technical upgrades, enhancements, and support activities that ensure services continue to meet agreed performance and operational requirements.This is a 24-month engagement, based in Brisbane or Melbourne, with an ASAP start.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport end-to-end systems engineering activities including requirements, design, integration, verification, validation, and in-service supportDeliver technical implementation and sustainment of operational technology systems (new capability and upgrades)Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance, including investigation and support activitiesProduce high-quality engineering documentation (e.g., specifications, reports, feasibility studies,



proposals)Manage configuration control across hardware/software/firmware and associated technical documentationWork within established safety and system management frameworks, policies, and proceduresRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong systems engineering capability across the full lifecycleProven experience in system design, integration, implementation, and sustainmentAbility to troubleshoot, analyze performance, and provide structured engineering recommendationsExperience developing formal engineering documentationConfiguration management and change control experience in a controlled environmentDesirableExperience in aviation, aerodrome, or communications systemsExposure to continuous improvement and technology lifecycle monitoring in operational environmentsOther RequirementsAustralian Citizenship is mandatoryMust be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government National Security ClearanceLocation: Brisbane or MelbourneEngagement term: 24 monthsPaxus values diversity and welcomes applications from Indigenous Australians, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people living with a disability.
