This position offers a unique prospect to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans and their families by ensuring they receive the support and benefits they are entitled to.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Submitting and uploading documentsCollaborating with other members of the Veteran Support Services team to coordinate assistance and resources for veterans and their familiesAssisting veterans with preparing and submitting claims for compensation, pensions, healthcare, rehabilitation, and other support servicesManaging/maintaining client relationshipsReplying to emails, and answering phone callsLiaising with DVA on the Veteran's behalfMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to veterans' entitlements and benefitsAbout YouAlong with your strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role, you'll have/be:Experience working with the Veteran communityFull Australian working rights or be a permanent residentATDP training (Not required, but held in very high regard.)Qualifications in Law or support services.Understanding of basic Microsoft and Google applications Familiar with DVA SOP's Health/public health experience is favorable Personable, empathetic, and dedicated High degree of verbal/written communication skills is essential Previous Employment With DVA
