Greencross Maitland is looking for anexperienced and qualified Veterinary Nurseto join our team on apart-time basis, working a minimum of20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to38 hours per weekdepending on your availability and clinic needs.This is a varied role that combines bothveterinary nursing and reception responsibilities, making it perfect for a nurse who enjoys building relationships with clients while delivering exceptional patient care.

providing opportunities to learn in these growing areas of veterinary medicineAVet Director and Practice Managerwho have both been recognised asVeterinary Director and Practice Manager of the Yearthrough Greencross internal awardsThis is a clinic where learning is encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and everyone's contribution is valued.About the RoleAs a Veterinary Nurse at Greencross Maitland, you'll play an integral role in supporting our veterinarians, caring for patients, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and proceduresSurgical preparation and theatre assistanceMonitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recoveryAdministering medications and treatmentsCollecting samples and performing pathology testingProviding nursing care for hospitalised patientsMaintaining accurate patient recordsEducating and supporting clients regarding their pet's health and wellbeingReception duties including appointment scheduling, client enquiries, admissions, discharges, and paymentsSupporting the day-to-day operation and workflow of the clinicMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection controlThis is a busy and rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to utilise both your clinical and customer service skills every day.About YouWe're looking for someone who:Holds aCertificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)Has 2+ years clinical veterinary nursing experienceIs confident performing both nursing and reception dutiesHas strong animal handling and patient care skillsIs confident monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical proceduresHas excellent communication and customer service abilitiesIs organised, efficient,
