We are seeking an experienced Medical Specialist Practice manager to join Dr David Parker's practice in St Leonards, NSW.
This is a full time position that plays a crucial role in the operational success of our specialist medical practice.
As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all administrative and business operations, ensuring the practice runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
You will manage staff, finances, compliance, and patient services, directly contributing to the practice's strategic objectives and reputations within the heath care sector.Key responsibilitiesManaging day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the specialist medical practice.Supervising and co-ordinating practice staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and rostering.Overseeing patient scheduling, appointments and ensuring effective patient flow through the practice.Managing practice finances, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and budgeting.Maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy legislation and professional standards.Implementing and maintaining effective systems, policies and procedures for the practice.Managing patient records, ensuring confidentiality and data security protocols are adhered to.What we're looking forProven experience (ideally 5+ years) working as a practice manager in a medical or healthcare settingStrong knowledge of medical practice management, including healthcare compliance, privacy laws and patient management systemsExcellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop stattSound financial management experience, including budgeting,



invoicing and financial reportingProficiency with practice management software and general IT skillsOutstanding organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, doctors and patientsStrong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions independentlyKnowledge of Medicare billing and health insurance matters is highly desirableA professional qualification in practice management, business administration or related field is advantageousA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a strong ethical approach to healthcare managementWhat we offerWe offer a competitive salary package and the opportunity to work in a well-established specialist medical practice.
