Project Engineer - Road Asset MaintenanceLocation: Sydney NSWType: Permanent, Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe're recruiting a Project Engineer to join a specialist road infrastructure maintenance contractor operating under a long-term government performance contract.
This is a hands-on role covering the full lifecycle of maintenance and minor works from methodology development and estimating through to site delivery across road, structural, corridor, tunnel and ITS assets.You'll work closely with the delivery team to shape how maintenance and project works are planned, priced and executed, with regular exposure to site and direct oversight of works in progress.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop methodology and delivery plans for maintenance, tactical and special project worksPrepare full works estimates and contribute to tender documentationIdentify and implement efficiency improvements across maintenance and field deliverySupport bid strategy developmentOversee site works and contractor/subcontractor performance to ensure delivery meets specification, budget and timelineMonitor progress, cost, safety and environmental performance, reporting on forecast variancesEnsure all safety, quality,



environmental and community requirements are met across works deliveryAbout YouTertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical), Business, Commerce or related discipline5+ years' experience in a similar project engineering roleExperience in road asset maintenance, road infrastructure or a comparable live network environment.Solid understanding of planning and scheduling functions, with good command of MS Project or similarFamiliarity with the commercial, contractual and financial aspects of infrastructure deliveryExperience setting up project teams and site establishment for multidiscipline worksComfortable working across office and site environmentsWe encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and women in engineering.About the EmployerOur client is a specialist infrastructure services contractor delivering road asset maintenance and renewal works under a major government performance contract, with a strong focus on safety, community outcomes and continuous improvement.
