We are a locally owned agricultural machinery dealership with nine branches across NSW and Southern Queensland, representing Case IH and a range of other leading agricultural machinery brands.We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to take responsibility for our Service operations across our Cowra and Young branches.This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for supporting our Service teams, strengthening customer relationships and continuing to grow our service capability across both regions.The position can be based at either Cowra or Young, with regular travel between both branches.About the RoleYou'll have responsibility for the day-to-day performance and development of our Service operations across Cowra and Young.This role needs someone who is comfortable being involved in the day-to-day operation of the workshops while also spending time with customers, supporting our technicians and apprentices, and identifying opportunities to grow our Service business.Your responsibilities will include:Leading and supporting the Service teams across Cowra and YoungDeveloping our technicians and apprentices and helping build capability within both workshopsBuilding and strengthening relationships with customers across both regionsProactively identifying opportunities to grow service activityPlanning and coordinating workshop and field service work across both locationsKeeping customers informed and ensuring jobs are followed through from booking to completion and invoicingMonitoring workshop productivity, efficiency, job progress and reworkEnsuring repairs are properly scoped and completed to a high standardMaintaining strong workmanship and quality control standardsSupporting the team with technical, customer and operational issuesSetting clear expectations and addressing performance issues when requiredMaintaining safe, organised and efficient workshop operationsWorking closely with Parts, Sales and Branch Management at Cowra and YoungIdentifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of workingAbout YouWe're looking for a practical, hands-on Service leader who understands that strong workshop performance comes from positive people, quality work, clear communication and strong customer relationships.You'll be comfortable taking ownership of Service operations across two locations and balancing the operational, people and customer sides of the role.Just as importantly, you'll enjoy dealing with customers.
You'll be prepared to pick up the phone, get out and visit customers when needed, understand their machinery and service requirements, and make sure they know they can rely on Kenway & Clark for their ongoing support.Ideally, you will bring:Experience managing, supervising or leading a workshop or technical teamA strong background in agricultural machinery, heavy equipment, diesel or a similar industryStrong customer relationship and communication skillsThe ability to identify and develop opportunities to grow Service workThe ability to develop technicians and apprentices and set clear expectationsA good understanding of workshop productivity, job costing,
