Operations Manager – Rope Access & Building ServicesThis is a hands-on operational leadership role working closely with the Director and field teams.
You will be responsible for coordinating jobs from approval through to completion, managing employees and subcontractors, communicating with clients, allocating labour and resources, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.Key responsibilitiesManaging the day-to-day operations of the businessScheduling and coordinating multiple field teams across MelbourneAllocating labour, vehicles, equipment and materialsManaging employees, subcontractors and site supervisorsReviewing upcoming works and ensuring teams are properly preparedCoordinating access requirements, permits, inductions and site documentationMaintaining solid communication with clients, building managers and contractorsMonitoring job progress, productivity and labour costsIdentifying operational issues before they impact projectsEnsuring completed works are properly documented, including photos and job reportsAbout youPrevious experience in an Operations Manager,



Project Manager, Construction Manager, Service Manager or similar roleExperience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneouslyStrong scheduling and organisational skillsExperience within construction, building maintenance, facilities, façade, access or trade servicesStrong leadership and people-management skillsGood commercial awareness and understanding of labour productivity and job costsThe ability to deal professionally with clients while also managing field teamsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressureAbout usJLU Rope Technicians is a Melbourne-based rope access and building maintenance company delivering specialised services across commercial and high-rise buildings throughout Victoria.
