Kick-start your IT career with hands-on experience, formal training and the opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology.Sharp Office is looking for a technically minded Junior IT & Printer Technician to join our team.This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in IT who enjoys solving problems, working with technology and getting out from behind the desk.No previous printer or photocopier experience is required – we'll provide the training.For the right candidate, we are also happy to establish a traineeship and support you to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology while you work.About Sharp OfficeSharp Office is a locally owned business with a team of around 25 people, providing technology and office solutions to businesses across our region.We like to strike the right balance between skilled and down-to-earth.
We take our work and our customer service seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously.You'll be joining our nine-person Service Team, where you'll have experienced technicians around you to learn from, ask questions and provide support.
We're a close-knit team and believe in helping each other out, sharing knowledge and giving people the opportunity to develop their skills.The RoleModern multifunction printers are connected devices that form part of a business's IT environment.
Working with Sharp and Kyocera technology, you'll learn to install, configure,
troubleshoot and maintain these devices across our customer sites.You'll learn to:Install and configure multifunction printers and photocopiersInstall print drivers and set up laptops and PCs for printingConfigure network printing and scanningSet up scan-to-email and scan-to-folderConfigure basic IP and network settingsTroubleshoot printing, scanning, software and connectivity issuesDiagnose equipment faults and carry out repairs and maintenanceProvide friendly, professional onsite support to customersAbout YouWe're looking for aptitude and attitude rather than experience.You may be a school leaver, studying IT, working in an entry-level IT role, or simply someone who has always enjoyed computers and figuring out how technology works.You'll ideally:Have a genuine interest in IT, computers and technologyEnjoy troubleshooting and solving problemsBe keen to learn both IT and hands‐on technical skillsCommunicate confidently with customersBe reliable, organised and willing to learnHold a current Australian driver's licenceBasic knowledge of Windows, networking or computer hardware would be an advantage, but isn't essential.What We OfferOpportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology traineeshipEarn while you learn with practical, real-world IT experienceFull training across Sharp, Kyocera and HDI technologyHands‐on experience with networking, Windows, printing and scanningPlenty of support and mentoring from our experienced Service TeamA friendly, down‐to‐earth workplace where people know and support each otherOpportunities to grow your technical skills and careerIf you love technology, enjoy solving problems and want an IT career that isn't spent sitting behind a desk all day, we'd love to hear from you.
