You will receive supportive leadership, flexible working options and meaningful development to empower you to make a real difference — and to grow while doing it.The Role - A Day in the Life of a MentorAs a Mentor, you will be responsible for providing personalised mentorship to parents and carers to help them navigate their educational and career goals.Your Key Responsibilities will include;Connecting participants with resources such as childcare, housing, financial aid, and educational resourcesProviding advice to participants with employment searches, resume and interview preparation and ensure they are aware, understand and adhere to their compliance requirements and obligations with CentrelinkDeveloping tailored action plans that address unique needs and aspirations of each participant and help participants to follow through on personalised action plansFacilitating workshops and group sessions to provide additional support and foster a sense of community amongst the participantsKeep accurate and up to date records of appointments and client communication in accordance with Parent Pathways contractual requirementsUphold and promote the Parent Pathways Program goals, contributing to its continuous improvement and success and achievement of organisational KPI's.Criteria for SuccessDemonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing support services, particularly with working parents, carers, or studentsCertificate III or higher in related field such as Community ServicesExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to connect and build rapport and trust with diverse participantsA high level of computer literacy and use of Microsoft Officer suites and other government programsSensitivity to and understanding of the diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences of participantsFamiliarity with community resources and services available to parents and carers, including childcare, housing, and financial aidAbility to interpret various guidelines and work within frameworksHighly motivated to achieving general employment and training outcomes for participants and organisation's performance and KPI goalsA recent, clear National Police CheckA current QLD Blue CardWhy work for ETCWe pride ourselves on offering a positive work culture and environment for employees to achieve their best.
