This exciting casual opportunity offers work in a tight-knit environmental team on specialised sites including wetlands, drainage corridors, conservation areas, and native grass areas.Led and supported by our Environmental Team Leader, this position is a fantastic way to grow and upskill in the environmental and conservation space where you will be trusted to autonomously perform daily horticultural-environmental estate duties.Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for the workplace,



ensuring our open spaces thrive and flourish.
This position has a variety of responsibilities and the work is physical, therefore a good level of health and fitness is required, in addition to the ability to manage time effectively with limited supervision.Key Responsibilitiesbrush-cutting, hedging, pruningchemical application/sprayingplanting and mulchingweeding and some litter collection where necessarymonitoring flora health-treating appropriatelyminor preventative maintenance on equipment and toolsgeneral garden upkeep; keeping spaces clean and tidyassess each site, identify and communicate key tasks to actionmaintain adequate quality control to ensure no rework is requiredliaise with traffic and traffic management personnelcoordinate and deliver quality environmental horticulture services to contract specificationsRequirementsTo be successful in this position, candidates must have:3+ years' experience a Gardener / Horticulturalist with a solid understanding of plant care techniquesPermanent Australian work rights is essentialWhite Card (Construction Induction Card)Valid Victorian Driver's License (P Plate or Full License)ACUP / Chemical-certification and experience with herbicide applicationDesired qualifications:Hold a Certificate III or above in Horticulture or Land Management (or similar)Traffic Management Certificate/sFirst Aid Certificate - Level 2 AdultWhy Join UDL Group?
