Dom's Garage is seeking a talented 3rd or 4th year Apprentice to join our dynamic team in Browns Plains, QLD.
This is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to develop your automotive trade skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
As you progress through the final stages of your apprenticeship, you will take on greater responsibility and independence, preparing you for a successful career in the automotive industry.
This role is essential to our operations as you will contribute directly to delivering high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs to our valued customers.What you'll be doingPerforming scheduled vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and inspectionsDiagnosing vehicle faults using workshop equipment and hand tools under supervisionConducting repairs to engines, transmissions, suspension, braking systems and electrical componentsAssisting with wheel alignments, tyre changes and balancingPreparing work areas and organising tools and equipment efficientlyDocumenting repair work and maintaining accurate service recordsFollowing all workplace health and safety procedures and protocolsSupporting senior technicians and mechanics on complex repair projectsCommunicating with customers regarding vehicle condition and repair progressWhat we're looking forCurrently enrolled in or recently completed a 3rd or 4th year of an automotive apprenticeship programmeValid driver's licence with a clean driving recordStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsCompetency with automotive diagnostic and repair tools and equipmentSound understanding of automotive systems and repair proceduresExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and customer service orientationReliability, punctuality and a professional work ethicWillingness to continue learning and developing your skillsWhat we offerAt Dom's Garage, we are committed to supporting our team members' professional development and wellbeing.
