Position: Disability Support WorkerLocation: Mount Barker, SAEmployment Type: CasualPay: SCHADS Award RateThe OpportunityWe have an exciting prospect for an internal Claro team member to join a supportive and inclusive team.
We are seeking a Community Disability Support Worker located in Mount Barker, SAEach day may look a little different, but your work will be centered around the following:Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get to know them and understand goals and routines.Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the planMedical support: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of beingWhat makes this role excitingYou'll work with people who have big, real world needs, from mobility and medical care to daily routines, communication, and fun activities.Every client is a unique story.
